# Is it safe?

> Where to download, why antiviruses complain and what the app can see

<Warning>
  Download only from [getsoundcloud.app](https://getsoundcloud.app) (formerly soundcloud-desktop.fun), GitHub [zxcloli666/SoundCloud-Desktop](https://github.com/zxcloli666/SoundCloud-Desktop), AUR **soundcloud-bin** and the project's Flatpak repository. Files from private messages and "premium builds" are not ours. [Forks and builds from strangers](/en/about/forks)
</Warning>

SoundCloud Desktop is an unofficial SoundCloud client. An independent developer makes it, not SoundCloud. SoundCloud is a trademark of its owner.

    In doubt: revoke them in your SoundCloud settings, sign in to SoundCloud Desktop again and, if you like, change your SoundCloud password.
