“Premium builds”, “launchers” with STAR and “optimization” files from private messages are not ours. A clean VirusTotal result does not prove a file is safe.

Check that your app is the official one

1

Check where the file came from

Official places: getsoundcloud.app (formerly soundcloud-desktop.fun), GitHub zxcloli666/SoundCloud-Desktop, AUR soundcloud-bin, the project’s Flatpak repository. Still have the file? Check its SHA-256.
2

Check the links in the app

Open Settings -> General -> Help. Error guide -> Open leads to github.com/zxcloli666/SoundCloud-Desktop, Discord server -> Join leads to discord.gg/xQcGBP8fGG. A different address means it is not our app.

In doubt? Install it again

Uninstall the app and download the official one: Which file to download.
Someone else’s build of the open code: its own author, its own updates and its own bugs. The fork’s author helps with it, not our support.
Themes, wallpapers, crossfade, highlighted lyrics, fonts, your own Wave.
It was built for the project’s old servers. Install the official app: Which file to download.
Try the same thing in the official app. Works there? Write to the fork’s author. Writing to us? Say right away that it is a fork. Where to ask
