Quit the app completely

  1. Click ^ next to the clock.
  2. Right-click the SoundCloud Desktop icon.
  3. Choose Quit.
The menu is in English whatever the app language is. Still running: Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) -> soundcloud-desktop.exe (portable: soundcloud-desktop-portable.exe) -> End task.

Start the app again

The version that opened is shown in Settings -> General -> Updates.
The tray menu is always in English: Show, Mini player, Play / Pause, Previous, Next, Quit.

I installed the new version but the old one opens

The old copy is still running in the tray, and the app does not start a second one: it just shows the old window. Use Quit (steps above), then start the app again.
Choose Settings -> General -> Close button -> Quit the app. Closing the window then stops the music and exits the app.
Then closing the window quits the app. The icon appears if your desktop supports tray icons (StatusNotifier). On GNOME, install the AppIndicator extension and start the app again.
In the tray icon menu choose Mini player. On Windows and macOS you can also left-click the icon.
